Building Confident Readers
Preschool Curriculum
At Little Dreamers Daycare, we believe learning to read should be exciting, encouraging, and fun. Our preschool curriculum builds important early learning skills while giving each child the individual attention they need to grow with confidence.
Learning Dynamics Reading Program
We use Learning Dynamics to teach letter sounds, blending, and sentence building. Children participate in daily group lessons and worksheets, along with one-on-one guided reading each week. This personal reading time allows us to work at each child’s individual level and celebrate their progress along the way.
Handwriting Without Tears
We also use Handwriting Without Tears, a hands-on, multi-sensory program that helps children develop proper pencil grip, handwriting skills, and the fine motor skills needed for writing.
Our goal is to help children build a strong foundation for kindergarten while developing a genuine love of reading and learning.
One-on-One Reading Time
One of my favorite parts of our preschool program is sitting down individually with each child to work on reading. These one-on-one sessions allow me to meet each child at their own level, help them work through challenges, and celebrate their progress. There’s nothing better than seeing the moment when reading starts to click and a child realizes, “I can do this!”
We use a multi-sensory approach to pencil grip and handwriting, ensuring that every child develops a strong foundation for lifelong literacy and fine motor skills.
